Leadership: The leadership of the HPP is being finalized. The Executive Committee (EC) and Senior Scientific Advisory Board (SSAB) is in place. Committees for the 3 pillars and the key projects are still being finalized.

Guidelines: The guidelines for participation and submission of data and results to the HPP are being developed

C-HPP: Most of the chromosomes have been claimed by individual research groups, although some chromosomes remain unclaimed. Work on expanding our understanding of certain chromosomes has begun.

B/D-HPP: The biology/disease focused HPP is finalizing its leadership and is preparing guidelines for participation.
